Rally Report 2007
CAMP NIGHT 2007 was truly the best ever! Good weather, incredible music and
over 200 motorcycle enthusiasts! We all knew to expect perfection from Harvey
and Joyce, but Arum Rae was the icing on the cake. What a beautiful voice
and a first class performance. Despite all this talent, the weather was the
biggest star, delivering a sunny warm day, and a typical cool starry Blue
Grass night.
A special thanks goes out to Morton’s BMW and the Inn at Gristmill Square
for their sponsorship of this year's event. The friends of Morton’s BMW are
wonderful ambassadors for our sport. We are always happy to have them at
our home because they display a balanced appreciation of the sport and their
surroundings. The tranquility of Blue Grass remained undisturbed despite
the presence of 200 motorcyclists. And the Inn at Gristmill Square is
just such a place where you can experience tranquil and elegant
surroundings, together with first class dining (Warm Springs, Virginia).
Thanks as always to the Cantina staff, many of whom were worked so hard that
they fled to Tokyo the day after the rally (strange but true!). We could be
looking at cold Squid dogs and Rice-A-Roni for next year. And thank you
to all the others who made coffee cake, served food, checked in
participants, and all the rest who made this year's rally shine (a first!-ed.).
Most importantly, THANK YOU for helping us to gross over $5,000.00 for the
2007 operations of the Blue Grass Book Bank! So have a great summer, ride
quick, ride precise, and smile!
